Colossus Disappearing
Egor Zigura - Sculpture - Aftertoday
The sculpture "Colossus Disappearing" carries the imprint of the present, because when it loses its corporality it acquires its meaning in return. The work is perceived not so much through volume, but through the form of a silhouette, spatial pauses, which elegantly convey the unshakable statics of an archaic image of antiquity, which archetype provides an impetus to artistic vision, creating an author's interpretation of the figure.
